I think you'll need a better focussed picture.
11 Jul '08 12:31 pm Not really clear what it is from this picture. When I have trouble getting the camera to focus on something thin I have it focus on something larger but the same distance away and then, while holding the shutter half way depressed to hold the focus, I aim the cameral at the skinny thing again. Good luck.

Mystery plant
15 Jul '08 6:38 am You mentioned that the seed came from a lemon shapped something. It sounds to me like a wild passion flower. We used to call them Maypops when I was growing up. The vines would run along the ground and produce lovely purple blooms that we picked because they looked like ballerinas with purple skirts. The fruit is a green orb about the size and shape of a lemon. When you stomp on them, they make a popping sound (thus Maypop) and the seeds inside are covered in a tart tasting pulp like pomegranite seeds. We enjoyed eating the pulp and spitting out the seeds, this ensuring more "Maypops" the next year.
