5 Aug '08 12:44 am To translate for our non Afrikaanse taal speakers it means "thank you very much for the welcome". My Afrikaans is sleg en ek is nie baie tweetalig nie. I grew up in an English speaking household.
Lol! I can't continue without clearing up some confusion about my place of residence.
I have been living in Christchurch New Zealand for about 7 years. I was born and raised in Durban, relocated to the Highveld whilst climbing the corporate ladder and lived in Johannesburg for a good many years. I loved the crisp winters there almost similar to Canterbury.
I now have a helper in the garden...Carol. She is physically tiny, but has the strength of Hercules. Today we dug up and removed some punga ferns that had put down roots for the last 50 years. We couldn't DIG IT UP, but had to lever around the huge mass and ROLL it out of the ground, almost like a boulder.
DH came home today with a new trailer. The old trailer which did not pass the last Wof will be used in the back yard to plant up some herbs and/or vegies.
Have a nice day where ever you are and thanks for the warm welcome to your garden Moosey.
Blessings

11 Aug '08 1:59 pm Hi Bill
Thanks for the welcome. I have a sister who lives in Hamilton Ontario, just opposite the golf course and curling rink. I last visited there in October of '83 and caught the first snows of the season. Lovely gorgeous country to live in.
Cheers
Julie
