Dividing large foxgloves in pots in August?11 Aug '08 5:43 pm
I couldn't resist. Even though it was mostly flowered out I bought this huge Foxglove (peach flowered) at a post 7-4 sale. I still haven't planted it- I'm wodering if I should try to divide it up and spread it around the cottge garden- or should I plant it as is? The pot is about 10" wide and deep.
Thanks 2 all-

Danny I dont know if you get a freeze or not but here in Canada Aug is the best time to Divide foxgloves as long as they get lots of water. These are some of mine

Thanks Moosie!
Yes we get a freeze here in NY and we do have Foxgloves seeding themselves and such. It's just that I wasn't sure whether or not to hack it apart with a sharp shovel like I do to the Hostas and daylilies or plant it whole. I do appreciate your answer and now I know that I can do it now instead of waiting till the fall.
Thanks again and PEACE!
